Project Data included in Wikimedia Enterprise APIs
Wikipedia and Wikidata are what most people come for: the encyclopedia, and the knowledge graph that holds the structured facts behind it. They are also just the tip of the iceberg. Wiktionary, Wikibooks, Wikiquote, Wikisource, Wikivoyage, Wikiversity, and Wikinews are all included too, written and curated by people in over 350 unique languages. One API suite covers every one of them, so you can combine projects and languages to serve your organization or startup, a large language model, search engine, knowledge graph, or data science work.
Data available in Wikimedia Enterprise APIs is aggregated from multiple Wikimedia projects including their language editions.
Every figure below is measured from our own Snapshot data, so it reflects what you receive through the APIs. Wikimedia Enterprise serves the Article, File, Template, and Category namespaces across every project and language edition, all of it written and curated by people.

Wikipedia is a content encyclopedia written collaboratively in more than 350 language editions at a rate of over 2 edits every second, performed by volunteers from all over the world.
In the Enterprise APIs: around 69 million Wikipedia pages across every language edition, about 7.4 million of them in English.

Wikidata
The Free Knowledge base
Wikidata is a free, collaborative, multilingual, secondary knowledge base, collecting structured data to provide support for Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, the other wikis of the Wikimedia movement, and to anyone in the world.
In the Enterprise APIs: Wikidata entities are served through the On-demand and Realtime endpoints, retrieved by Q-number, P-number, or label. Request the exact item you need, and stream changes to the graph as editors make them.

Wiktionary
A dictionary for over 170 languages
Wiktionary is a free multilingual dictionary of all languages. The project aims to include not only the definition of a word, but also enough information to really understand it. Thus, etymologies, pronunciations, sample quotations, synonyms, antonyms, translations, spelling variants, and non-standard spellings are included. It also includes language resources such as a thesaurus, a rhyme guide, phrase books, language statistics, and extensive appendices.
In the Enterprise APIs: around 51 million Wiktionary pages, about 9.1 million of them in English. A dictionary carries an entry for every word, so English Wiktionary alone runs larger than English Wikipedia.

Wikibooks
E-book textbooks and annotated texts
Wikibooks is a collection of free e-book resources that span textbooks, instructional guides, manuals, annotated texts, and other educational materials. Its articles cover more than 120 languages and provide a broad foundation of human-curated knowledge suitable for learning tools, curriculum builders, educational apps, and instruction-focused AI systems.
In the Enterprise APIs: around 430,000 Wikibooks pages across roughly 120 language editions, about 92,000 of them in English. Each page is a chapter or section, so a single title spans many pages.

Wikiquote
Quotes across your favorite books, movies, authors, and more
Wikiquote is an online collection of sourced quotations from notable people and creative works in over 95 languages. It also includes proverbs, mnemonics, and slogans.
In the Enterprise APIs: around 440,000 Wikiquote pages. Each page gathers the sourced quotations for one person or work, so a single page can carry dozens.

Wikisource
The free digital library
Wikisource is a library of freely-licensed source texts and historical documents including poetry, novels, letters, speeches, constitutional and historical documents of many countries, laws, and a range of other documents.
In the Enterprise APIs: around 7.1 million Wikisource pages. Chinese is the largest edition at roughly 3.4 million pages, with English next at 650,000.

Wikivoyage is a comprehensive, community-curated travel resource built from contributions by locals and experienced travelers. Its articles cover practical details like how to get in, get around, and stay safe, along with local history, culture, food, lodging, attractions, and itineraries. The result is a broad, up-to-date directory of real-world travel knowledge that can power location-based apps, trip-planning tools, and other projects that rely on structured destination data.
In the Enterprise APIs: around 150,000 Wikivoyage pages across 27 language editions, each one a destination, region, or itinerary.

Wikiversity is devoted to learning resources, learning projects, and research for use in all levels, types, and styles of education from pre-school to university.

Wikinews is an alternative to commercial news sites with stories that chronicle events when they happen, are fact-checked, and peer reviewed.
