Project Data included in Wikimedia Enterprise
Data available in Wikimedia Enterprise APIs is aggregated from multiple Wikimedia projects including their language editions.
Wikipedia is just the tip of the iceberg as we also include Wiktionary, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikiquote, Wikivoyage, Wikiversity, and Wikinews. This data is written and curated by humans in over 360 unique languages. Having one API suite with all of this information, you can combine data from multiple projects and languages to fulfill data needs for your organization or startup, a large language model, search engine, or knowledge graph, or data science endeavors.
Our Metadata utility endpoints help you find projects and language editions:
Project types: Request /v2/codes to get the list of project codes (types) seen on this page each with identifier, name, and description.
Projects & Languages: Request /v2/projects to get all supported projects and their available language editions for filtering in the main endpoints.
